Abstract

n-Butyl acetate was synthesized by using stannous chloride as catalyst, the optimal conditions were determined. The results show: when 0.1mol of acetic acid, 0.20 mol of n-butyl and 1.0 g of the catalyst are used, the reaction time is 90 min, the ratio of esterification reaches 92.7%.
