Abstract
Objective To detect the level of HS-CRP in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD), and its relations to other risk factors. Methods The serum levels of high-sensitive CRP (HS-CRP) in patients with CHD and non-CHD were measured by immunoturbidimetry, while triglyceride(TG), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C), total cholesterol(TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) were measured by enzymatic analysis. Results There were no statistical differences between serum levels of HS-CRP in CHD and non-CHD(P=0.068), but the percentage of patients with high HS-CRP in patients with CHD was much higher than those in non-CHD(P0.01). HS-CRP was more relative to TG than other risk factors(r=0.549,P=0.002).Conclusion The patients with CHD may exsit potential inflammation. HS-CRP can be regarded as an independent risk factor of CHD, and detection of HS-CRP have diagnostic value to understand vascular epithelial function in patients with CHD.
