Impacts of Jie Du Tong Luo Bao Shen Jiaonang on Plasma Glucose and Renal Function in Rats with Diabetic Renal Disease

Objective To study the protection of Jie Du Tong Luo Bao Shen Jiaonang (capsule for detoxification,promotion of circulation and protection of kidney)(Capsule)on renal injury in diabetic rats. Methods 36 rats were randomized into normal control group,diabetic model group and Capsule group,12 rats in each one. Except normal control group,the animals in the other two groups were prepared as the models of diabetic renal disease. In normal control group and diabetic model group,gastric per-fusion was administered with normal saline of same volume. In Capsule group,the concentrating liquid of the Capsule was infused every morning. Results The general situations of rats in Capsule group were superior apparently to those in diabetic model group. But,no significant difference presented in comparison with normal control group(P0.05). In the aspects of reducing glucose,re-ducing lipid and improving renal functions,the outcomes in Capsule group were superior apparently to those in diabetic model group. Conclusion Jie Du Tong Luo Bao Shen Jiaonang improves the general state of experimental rats with diabetic renal dis-ease,regulates glucose-lipid metabolism and presents a certain protection on renal damage in the rats with diabetic renal disease.
