The research on college English teachers' professional quality and the ways to explore improvement

In the first palce,the paper points out that College English teachers play a critical role in the refrom and the development of College English teaching,therefore,the overall professional quality of College English teachers should be improved. It is suggested that College English teachers need to improve their ethics quality,self-development quality,professional knowledge,etc,to promote the development of their career. Moreover,the approaches to improve the professional quality and self-efficacy of College English teachers are studied in the paper,which consist of autonomous learning in addition to on-the-job traning and further education.
