Abstract
【Objective】 To investigate the influencing factors of anxiety and the patterns of their interactions in rural and urban secondary school students. 【Methods】 4 030 students were tested with SAS,TAI of STAI,EPQ,EMBU and five self-designed scales. The path analysis was used to study the relationship among the influencing factors and their course of influence on anxiety. 【Results】 Path analysis of the results showed that the trait anxiety, learning pressure, parental warmth and understanding, negative rearing styles of the urban and rural middle school students had a direct role in anxiety. The self-esteem and achievement through learning pressure or trait anxiety indirectly caused students' anxiety.Urban students' direct factors included nervousness, psychoticism and the spirit of the internal and external factors such as personality, and rural students' personality factors of psychic and neuroticism were through indirect pressure on students learning anxiety role. 【Conclusions】 The prevalence rate of anxiety of Harbin secondary school students is higher than the ceiling of the normative model of normal Chinese, and it is related with multiple factors.Decreasing the learning pressure and improving bad parenting would be effective on developing their level of mental health status in secondary middle school students. It is useful for path analysis to evaluate the influencing factors and their patterns on anxiety and to provide foundation to anxiety.
