Abstract
Objective To study the relation between the expression of platelet membrane glycoproteins(GP) and clinical disability degrees in the patients with acute ischemic stroke. Methods The expression of platelet surface GPⅡb Ⅲa complex(CD41),P selectin(CD62p) and GP53(CD63) were determined by whole blood flow cytometry in 57 patients with acute ischemic stroke. Results The percentage of CD41,CD62p and CD63 positive platelet in patients with acute ischemic stroke in moderately severe group were: (63 08±15 01)%,(3 93±2 75)% and (2 91±1 49)%,and in severe group were: (69 92±18 46)% ,(4 32±1 80)% , and (3 61±1 81)%.All were significantly higher than those in mild group i.e. (47 52±17 02)%,(1 88±0 74)% and (1 79±1 41)% ( P 0 05). There was significant correlation among the expression of CD41,CD62p and CD63 ( P 0 05). Conclusions The expression of platelet membrane GP was high in acute ischemic stroke. The change was related to the clinical severity of ischemic stroke.
