Application of phase teaching in outpatient clinical practice teachingin department of oral and maxillofacial surgery

Objective: To investigate the application of phase teaching in outpatient clinical practice teaching in department of oral and maxillofacial surgery so as to improve the quality of teaching.Methods: Clinical teaching method of oral surgery was improved by introducing phase teaching,rational allocation of teaching time,deepening students basic theory learning during oral surgery practice,enhancing their professional knowledge,developing their self-learning ability,summing up and exchanging practice experience.Results: Practice has proved that phase teaching could effectively upgrade the quality of students' clinical surgical practice,help the formation of their innovative research thinking and improve their overall quality.A great number of competent talents of oral medicine were produced.Conclusion: Phase teaching method can effectively improve the quality of clinical teaching practice as well as students abilities.
