Application of Progressive Teaching in Outpatient Clinical Practice Teaching in Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Objective To investigate the application of progressive teaching in outpatient clinical practice teaching in the department of oral and maxillofacial surgery so as to improve the quality of teaching.Methods Clinical teaching method of oral surgery was improved by introducing progressive teaching,rational allocation of teaching time,deepening students' basic theory learning during oral surgery practice,enhancing their professional knowledge,developing their self-learning ability,and summing up and exchanging practice experience.Results Practice has proved that progressive teaching could effectively upgrade the quality of students' clinical surgical practice,help the formation of innovative research thinking and improve their overall quality.A great number of competent personnel of oral medicine were produced.Conclusion Progressive teaching method can effectively improve the quality of clinical teaching practice as well as students' abilities.
