Clinicial observation of dexamethasone and tinidazole combined with sulfasalazine for ulcerative colitis by retention enema

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of dexamethasone,tinidazole combined with sulfasalazine for ulcerative colitis by retention enema.Methods Fifty-eight patients with ulcerative colitis were randomly divided into observation group(30 cases) and control group(28 cases).Observation group were treated with dexamethasone,tinidazole combined sulfasalazine by retention enema,and control group were only treated with sulfasalazine by oral,conventional treatment of two groups was the same way.The abdominal pain,bloody diarrhea disappeared time and clinical efficacy of two groups were observed before and after treatment.Results The total effective rate of observation group(86.7%) was significantly higher than that of control group(71.4%)(P0.05);The abdominal pain,bloody diarrhea disappeared time was significantly shorter than that of control group(P0.05);The incidence of adverse reactions in observation group was significantly lower than that of control group(P0.05).Conclusion The treatment of dexamethasone,tinidazole combined with sulfasalazine enema for ulcerative colitis by retention enema had a good efficacy,less side effects.It should be worthy of clinical application.
