Effect observation of yunnanbaiyao retention enema in the treatment of chronic ulcerative colitis

Objective To observe the effect of yunnanbaiyao retention enema in the treatment of chronic ulcerative colitis. Methods 120 cases of patients with chronic ulcerative colitis were randomly divided into experimental group and control group,each of 60 cases. Control group used gentamicin retention enema. On the basis of control group,treatment group was treated with yunnanbaiyao retention enema. After treatment,compared the clinical efficacy and the incidence of adverse reactions of the two groups. Results The total effective rate of experimental group was 80. 0% significantly higher than 56. 7% of control group,the difference was statistically significant( P 0. 05). The incidence of adverse reactions between two groups had no significant difference( P 0. 05). Conclusion Yunnanbaiyao retention enema in the treatment of chronic ulcerative colitis has a very good treatment effect and less adverse reactions,should be widely applied clinically.
