Mother language concepts of the UNESCO have developed from the mother language education to human rights of mother language and mother language protection. These ideas have gradually influenced China after its adoption of the policy of reform and opening up,and have internalized into its national language policy. In the process,Chinese scholars have also put forward some innovative ideas on mother language,of whichmother language economyis the maturest. With the platform of the UNESCO,these new ideas based on Chinese contexts may be promoted to be international concepts. This practice will help to enhance the discourse power of China in this field.
