Abstract
In this paper,the 15 regions in Xinjiang combining economy,society,resource,science education was selected as one level index in index sysytem by the characteristic of region in Xinjiang and availiable data.The component analysis on the sustainable development of regions in Xinjiang with the horizontal data of 2008 were used to replace original index sysytem.The cluster analysis was conducted on the sustainable development of regions in Xinjiang.Then the 15 regions,autonomous prefectures and cities were divided into 6 types according to the result of assess.Finally,some suggestions and advices were given for the sustainable development of different regions in Xinjiang.
