Research on Comprehensive Evaluation of Regional Economic Development Level of Northern Xinjiang

Accurate judgement of regional economic development was the necessary premise of making all economic policy and development strategy.This paper established the evaluation index system of 17 indexes,using evaluation model in order to judge the development level for region economy of Northern Xinjiang and eight zones in Northern Xinjiang from 2006 to 2010.This research found that overall economic development situation of Northern Xinjiang was good,but there was large difference between different zones.According to the evaluation results,eight zones were divided into four kinds of area.Policy suggestions were presented on the basis of the development of every area.
