Abstract
Objective: To investigate whether administering of Chanfukang granule to rats has toxicity. Methods: 4 groups Sprague-Dawley rats had been respectively feeding distilled water and Chanfukang granule in 60 g/kg (high dosage), 30 g/kg (middle dosage), 12 g/kg (low dosage) for 4 weeks, these dosages were respectively equal to 100, 80 and 50 times clinical dosage. 2 and 4 weeks later after discontinuation, all the body weights, hematological or biochemical indexes, both relative weight and morphologyces of heart, liver, spleen, lung, kidney, brain, thymus gland, uterus and testis were tested. Results: No evident abnormal change of every index was met in every group. Conclusion: The results suggested that Chanfukang granule long-term administration by Chanfukang orally to rats was safe.
