Abstract

objective To observe the long-term toxicity reaction of rats given ig Xinyanning Granule.Methods Totally 80 rats were divided into the high dose group,medium dose group,low dose group and blank control group.The dosages of 0.6 g/mL,0.37 g/mL and 0.14 g/mL were respectively administrated to rats by intragastric feeding and continued for 30 days.After 30 days,continue to raise two weeks without medicine.Growth of rats was observed.Indexes of hematology and blood biochemistry was measured.Ratio of viscera to body were measured and the major organs were examined pathologically.All these tests were carried out 30 days after ig and 2 weeks after stopping ig.Results The results showed that all the indexes were not different compared with the control group.Conclusion The Xinyanning Granule is not found to have long-term toxicity to rats,indicating that it is safe by oral administration in clinical practice.
