Clinical Study of the Combination Therapy of Yigu Decoction and TEAS in Treating Pain Senile Osteoporosis

Objective: To study the clinical effects of the therapy of the combination of Yigu Decoction and TEAS in the treatment of the pain of senile osteoporosis. Methods: 60 patients were randomly divided into experimental group and control group,30 cases in each one. The patients in the experimental group were treated with the combination therapy of Yigu Decoction,TEAS and miacalcic,and those in the control group were treated with miacalcic therapy only. Medical histories of both groups were collected respectively before treatment,after treatment,and 3 months after treatment to assess VAS pain scores and bone mineral density(BMD). Results: The differences of BMD between treatment group and control group were statistically significant before treatment(P 0.05) with BMD obviously rising;the differences of VAS pain scores between treatment group and control group were statistically significant after treatment(P 0.05) with the VAS pain scores obviously decreasing. Conclusion: The therapy of combination of Yigu Decoction and TEAS overrides the theraphy of miacalcic in releasing the pain caused by senile osteoporosis.
