Abstract
Objective To investigate the death cause of the residents so as to provide data for making health policy.Methods Descriptive epidemiological method was used to analyze the death data in Yichang,2009.Results The average death rate was 558.81/100 000.The death rate of male was 642.10/100 000,the death rate of female was 470.53/100 000.The main death cause in turn was,tumor(144.09/100 000),Heart disease(110.82/100 000),cerebro-vascular disease(87.64/100 000),respiratory system disease(70.82/100 000),injury and poisoning,(49.55/100 000).Conclusions The main death causes of the residents in Yichang city,2009,were tumor,heart disease,cerebro-vascular disease,respiratory system disease and injury and poisoning.Infective disease was still one of the important death causes.
