Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine on the treatment of basilar artery insufficiency vertigo. Methods 80 patients with basilar artery insufficiency vertigo were randomly divided into two groups.Patients in control group(n=40) were treated by routine therapy.40 cases in treatment group were treated by combination of Banxiabaizhutianma decoction and routine therapy. The therapeutic effect, blood flow rate of basilar artery and Hemorrheology indexes were observed before and after treatment. Results The total effective rate in treatment group was higher than that in control group(P0.05).There were significant differences between before and after treatment on blood flow rate of basilar artery,LVA and RVA and Hemorrheology indexes in two groups(P0.05).Improvement of blood flow rate of basilar artery and Hemorrheology indexes in treatment group were superior to those in control group after treatment(P0.05).Conclusion Combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine has obvious effect on the treatment of basilar artery insufficiency vertigo.
