The Clinical Research on Vertigo Caused by Blood-supply Insufficiency of Vertebral-basilar Artery with Cluster Acupuncture Therapy on Head

Abstract

Objective:To compare the therapeutic effects of cluster acupuncture therapy on head with the common acupuncture for treating the vertigo caused by blood-supply insufficiency of vertebral-basilar artery.Methods:Select 48 patients who have vertigo caused by blood-supply insufficiency of vertebral-basilar artery and divide them into 2 groups at random.Each group had 24 patients.The treatment group was treated by cluster acupuncture therapy on head and the control group was treated by common acupuncture.Judging the clinical effect between two groups.Results:The effective rate in treatment group was 91.7% and it is obviously better than that of the control group which was 75.0%(P0.05).Conclusion:It is an effective therapy for the treatment of vertigo caused by blood-supply insufficiency of vertebral-basilar artery,and it has a better curative efficacy than that of common acupuncture.
