Clinical observation on Gold Plaster with sticking therapy in the treatment of 43 patients with erysipelas

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Gold Plaster in the treatment of erysipelas.Methods A retrospective analysis of 86 patients with erysipelas treated with Gold Plaster from june 2008 to june 2011 in our hospital was reviewed.Patients were randomly divided into two groups: a treatment group was treated by gold plaster and a control group was treated by 50% magnesium sulfate wet.The treatment efficacy were both observed and recorded.Results There were 43 cases in treatment group,among them,38 cases were markedly effective and 5 cases were effective,the total efficiency was 100.0%.Among the other 43 cases in the control group,26 cases were markedly effective,10 cases with effective and 7 cases with ineffective,the total efficiency was 83.7%.The difference between the two groups was significant(P 0.05).the average healing time of the treatment group were(5.8±1.8)d and that in the control group were(11.6±3.0)d,the comparison of the healing time was significant different(P 0.05),the healing time of the treatment group was much shorter.Conclusion Gold Plaster can be an effiective,safe and reliable way for erysipelas with a shorter healing time.
