Abstract
Objective To establish a HPLC method to the assay of protocatechuic acid in Zhidai granules. Methods Protocatechuic acid was determined by Hypersil C18 column(4.6 mm× 250 mm,5 μm) using methanol-water-acetic acid(19∶80∶1)(ζ)as mobile phase with the flow rate of 1.0 mL·min-1 and the detection wavelength was 260 nm.Results There was a good linear relationship between the concentration and peak area value of protocatechuic acid in the range of 0.051 2-0.768 0 μg(r=0.999 8).The average recovery was 100.90% with the RSD of 1.79%(n=6).Conclusion This method is specific, reliable, reproducible and feasible, which can be used for quality control of Zhidai granules.
