Observation of curative effect of integrated chinese traditional and western medicine herbs in treating the ectopic pregnancy in 30 cases.

Objective:To observe the effect of combination of methotrexate and mifepristone and traditional Chinese medicine herbs intreating ectopic pregnancy.Methods:51 case were divided into group A and group B.Group A was treated with 150mg of mifepristone administered orally one time and 20 mg methotrexate intravenous drip for 5 days and traditional Chinese medicine herbs administered orally twice one day for 7 days.Group B received only 20mg methotrexate intravenous drip for 5 days as control group.The values of plasma β-hCG were measured after treating 7 days.Results:The values of plasma β-hCG after treating 7 days in group A(235.87±93.72)IU/L were significantly lower than those of group B(301.90±71.63)IU/L(P0.01).Group A showed great differences in the success rate(86.67%),which was significantly higher than that of the group B(47.62%).Statistic analysis showed signigicant difference between group A and group B(P0.01).Conclusion:The treatment of ectopic pregnancy with the combination of methotrexate and mifepristone and traditional Chinese medicine herbs is safe and effective with highly successful rate and minor side effects,It is suitable for the unruptured ectopic pregnancy with stable vital signs,serum β-hCG2000 IU/L,ectopic mass6cm in the largest dimension,but without acute abdominal pain.Normal function of liver,kidney and coagulation are mainly indications for the treatment of ectopic pregnancy.It may be used as first choice in treating ectopic pregnancy,especially to those who need to keep the reproductive funcion.
