Abstract
Objective To investigate the technical parameters of purification process of total flavonoids from Prunella with ADS type of macroporous resin. Methods The conditions of purification of total flavonoids from Prunella were screened with adsorption capacity and desorption rate of total flavonoids as indicators. Results ADS-8 was the best resin for separation and purification of flavonoids from Prunella. The optimum conditions were: 1.20 mg/mL extract of Prunella at the pH value of 5.0 with a flow rate of 2.0 BV/h to the column, the eluent was 40 % ethanol, and the flow rate was 1.5 BV/h. After purified by ADS-8,the product purity was 82.7 % with a yield of 66.2 %. Conclusion ADS-8can be used in purification of total flavonoids of Prunella.
