Abstract
[Objective]To study germicidal efficacy and toxicity of a hand disinfectant.[Methods]Examination and evaluation were conducted on the content of effective component, germicidal efficacy, the effect of on-the-spot experiment and toxicity according to Technical Standard For Disinfection[Results]Chlorhexidine acetate content in hand disinfectant was 21.6 g/L.After storing at 37 for 90 days, the content of chlorhexidine acetate in hand disinfectant was 21.4 g/L and decreased by 0.9%,Its expiration date is 2 years.pH is 6.81.The reduction factor(log10) of staphylococcus aureus,Pseudomonas aeinginosa and Escherichia coli exposed to the hand disinfectant containing chlorhexidine acetate 2 000 mg/L for 1 min were ≥5.00 and that of Candida albicans exposed to the hand disinfectant containing chlorhexidine acetate 3 000 mg/L for 1 min was ≥4.00.The reduction factor(log10) of the natural bacteria on hands of the tested subjects exposed to the hand disinfectant containing chlorhexidine acetate 3 000 mg/L for 1 min was 1.29.The mouse acute oral toxicity of the disinfectant was LD505 000 mg/kg·bw,belonging to practically non-toxic class. The result of mouse bone marrow erythrocyte micronucleus test was negative. No toxic effect was observed in every different dosage group during the sub-acute toxicity experiments.[Conclusion]The hand-disinfectant had good germicidal efficacy and safety.
