Effect of comprehensive treatment programs on Barthel index of acute cerebral infarction

Objective To observe the effect of comprehensive treatment programs on case fatality rate Barthel index of acute cerebral infarction.Methods 60 acute cerebral infarction patients were randomly divided into two groups.Patients in control group(n = 30) were treated by conventional western medicine from American College of Chest Physicians(ACCP) and the European Stroke Initiative(EUSI) Guide regimen.Patients in treatment group(n = 30) were treated by Tongxinluo capsule,Ligustrazine hydrochloride injection,Zhongfengxieding prescription,Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture and early rehabilitation treatment.The therapeutic course was four weeks in two groups.Case fatality rate and Barthel index(functional independence measure) before and after hospitalization were evaluated by in two groups.Results Barthel index in treatment group was higher than that in control group(P 0.05).Percentage BI 90 in treatment group was significantly higher(P 0.05).Mortality in treatment group was lower than that in control group(P 0.05).Conclusion Comprehensive treatment programs can improve neurological sequelae and improve BI index score and reduce mortality.
