Clinical observation of Vitapex paste in the treatment for deciduous periapical inflammation

Objective To explore the clinical effect of vitapex paste in the treatment for deciduous periapical inflammation.Methods One hundred and forty-two children who had deciduous periapical inflammation and received treatment in our hospital from Sep.2009 to Sep.2011 were chosed in this study.These children were randomly and averagely divided into research group and control group.The research group received vitapex paste root filling while the control group received zinc oxide eugenol paste root filling.After treatment,the root filling reaction of research group and control group were compared,and we also compared the success rate of root filling of the two groups after 1 year followed up.Results The root canal filling reaction of research group was significantly slight than control group.After 1 year followed up,the success rate of root filling of research group was much more higher than control group.Conclusion Vitapex paste is much more suitable for the treatment of deciduous periapical inflammation.
