Clinical Observation of Aztreonam in the Treatment of Cancer Patients with Lower Respiratory Tract Infection

Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of aztreonam in the treatment of cancer patients with lower respiratory tract infection.METHODS:A total of170cases were randomly divided into study group and control group(each group have85patients),study group(group A)were treated by aztreonam2.0g,control group(group B)were treated by ceftazidime2.0g,q12h,all patients treated7～14days as a course.The clinical efficacy,the bacterial clearance rates and adverse drug reaction of2group were compared.RESULTS:The clinical efficacy rate of group A and B were87.06%and83.35%respectively,the bacterial clearance rates were92.54%and86.76%respectively,there were no statistical differences between2groups(P0.05).CONCLUSIONS:Aztreonam is an effective and safe agent for treatment of cancer patients with lower respiratory tract infection.
