Abstract
Objective To approach the feasibility of homeochronous TURBt for bladder tumor and TUVP for benign prostatic hyperplasia. Methods Clinical data of 26 patients undergoing simultaneously the excision of bladder tumor by TURBt and prostatectomy by TUVP were analyzed retrospectively. Results All patients recovered without any postoperative complications.Followed up of 3 to 24 months, tumor recurrence occurred in 4 cases, but no growth in prostatic nest. Conclusion The homeochronous TURBt and TUVP operation for tumor of bladder plus benign prostatic hyperplasia are safe and effective. It does not increase the risk of implantation in prostatic nest, recurrence of tumor relapse.
