Abstract
New borning leaves of 'Dongfangmi No.1' melon were selected as explant and planted into the MS medium with different concentration and variety of endocrine to induce the formation of callus and adventitious buds and roots. The results showed that the most ideal medium for callus inducing was MS+2,4-D 0.10 mg/L+6-BA 1.50 mg/L with the best induction rate 91%;The most ideal medium for adventitious buds inducing was MS+2,4-D 0.01 mg/L+6-BA 1.50 mg/L with the best average 3.52;the best rooting medium was MS+2,4-D 0.05 mg/L+NAA 0.20 mg/L+IBA 0.60 mg/L with the best rooting rate 85%.
