Abstract

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of rabeprazol combined with hydrotalcid and mosapride on reflux esophagitis. Methods 82 patients with reflux esophagitis diagnosed by endoscopy were randomly divided into treating group with rabeprazole (10 mg, qd), hydrotalcite (1.0 g, tid) and mosapride (5 mg, tid); Control group Ⅰ : omeprazole (10 mg, qd), hydrotalcid (1.0 g, tid) and mosapride (5 mg tid). Control group Ⅱ: famotidine (20 mg, bid), hydrotalcid (1.0 g, tid) and mosapride (5 mg, tid). The duration of treatment was 7 days in all groups. The symptoms including heart burn, acid regurgitation, belching, and chest pain were evaluated before and during the treatment. Results The severity of the symptoms in three groups greatly decreased after treatment, but one day relief rate, the mean time of symptom relief and heart burn relief rate in night-time was significantly different in treating group than that in control group. Conclusion The combination therapy of rabeprazol, hydrotalcid and mosapride can quickly alleviate symptoms of reflux esophagitis.
