Abstract
Objective To investigate the prevalence of allergens distribution in patients with allergic disease in Nanjing area.Methods Using Euro-blot technique for specific IgE(sIgE) against food and inhalation allergens in 420 cases with allergic diseases,at the same time,serum IgE levels in above patients was also tested and analyzed.Results In 384 and 327 samples tested with reagent of food and inhalation allergens respectively,the main prevalence of specific food allergens were mix fruit(19.5%),seafood combination(17.7%),shrimp(9.8%),salmon(8.9%) and peanuts(8.6%) etc,while inhalation allergens were the cat/dog(25.4%),silk(22.6%),dust mites(13.5%) and house dust mites(12.8%) etc.Among cases with increased level of serum total IgE,there found that had 76.2%(64/84) prevalence of one or more than one specific IgE to allergens,simultaneously.Further investigation showed that most prevalence of allergic disease occurred in Nanjing area was associated with summer,autumn and winter sessions,namely in June,July,August,September,October,November and December.Conclusion Among 40 various allergens,the combination of fruits,seafood combination,shrimp,salmon,peanuts,cats and dogs,silk,dust mites and house dust mites were the major allergens for allergic diseases in Nanjing area.
