Abstract
Objective To examine the effect of community-based psychological and behavioral intervention on the quality of life in pa- tients with chronic hepatitis B,and to provide evidenee for comprehensive prevention and treatment of hepatitis B.Methods Forty pa- tients with chronic hepatitis B were recruited and provided with comprehensive psychological and behavioral intervention besides drug treatment for 3 months.Their quality of life and psychological status were measured by Chronic Liver Disease Questionnaire (CLDQ) , Hamilton Depression Scale (HAM D) and Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) before and 3 months after the intervention.Results Com- pared with before intervention,the scores of each factor in quality of life were significantly increased 3 months after intervention (P0.05).The incidence rate of anxiety and depression were reduced (P0.05).Conclusions The community-based psychological and behavioral intervention can improve the quality of life in patients with chronic hepatitis B.
