Effects of Psychological Nursing Intervention on Anxiety and Depression State of Patients with Chronic Hepatitis B

Abstract

Objective To explore the effects of psychological nursing intervention on anxiety and depression state of patients with chronic hepatitis B.Methods 100 patients with chronic hepatitis B were randomly divided into the interventional group and the control group with 40 cases in each group.The control group received conventional nursing measures,and the interventional group were simultaneously given psychological nursing intervention besides the conventional routine nursing measures.All the patients were assessed with Self-Rating Anxity Scales(SAS) and Self-Rating Depressive Scale(SDS) before and after the intervention.Results After 4 weeks of intervention,all the patients' anxiety and depressive index reduced significantly from baseline.The difference between the interventional group and control group had statistical significance.Conclusion Psychological nursing intervention can effectively reduce anxiety an d deression an d increase quality of life of patients with chronic hepatitis B.
