Abstract

Objective To study the anti-aging effects of KOTAIS on model mice by measuring SOD, GSH-Px, CAT, MDA levels of liver and brain tissue. Methods Random groups were prepared by weight for 5 groups and were given normal, D-galactose, and the low, middle and high dose of KOTAIS. Interrelated senile indexes were measured after successively given medicine for 60 days. Results Every dose group is able to improve the activities of SOD and CAT and GSH-Px and decrease the level of MDA in the liver of all mice. The effects of anti-aging is very obvious for low and middle dose groups. Conclusion KOTAIS has anti-aging effects by eliminating free radicals.
