Abstract
The synthesis of n butyl propionate using TiSiW 12 O 40 /TiO 2 as catalyst has been studied. The optimum conditions are:molar ratio of propanoic acid to n butanol is 1∶1.3,the quantity of catalyst is equal to 1.5% feed stock, the reaction temperature is 116~128℃,and the reaction time is 1.0 h.TiSiW 12 O 40 /TiO 2 is an excellent catalyst for synthetizing n butyl propionate and its yield can reach over 71%.
