Abstract
The synthesis of ethyl propionate catalyzed by TiSiW 12 O 40 /TiO 2 has been studied and the factors influencing on the yield were discussed. Experiments show that TiSiW 12 O 40 /TiO 2 is an excellent catalyst, the yield of ethyl propionate can reach over 78% when the quanlity of butyl acid is 20mmol, the molar ratio of ethanol and butyl acid is 1.5∶1.0, reaction time is 2.0h, reaction temperature is 85℃~92℃ and the amount of TiSiW 12 O 40 /TiO 2 is 2.5% of feed stock.
