Abstract

Objective To investigate the efficacy of atorvastatin in treating the patients with coronary heart disease complicated by hyperlipemia. Methods The 40 patients in group A were treated with atorvastatin (10 mg/d);39 patients in guoup B were treated with simvastatin (20 mg/d),for a treatment course of eight weeks in both groups. Results The total cholesteral (TC),triglycerin (TG) decreased in both groups, and high density lipoprotein increased after 8 week's treatment. The total effective rates were 85%,58%,56% in group A and 50%,15%,50% in group B respectively. The cardiac events in group A were less than those in group B.Conclusion Atorvastatin is obviously effective in decreasing blood fat, which can prevent from cardiac events.
