Abstract

One of the objectives of College English Teaching Reforms is to change the traditional teaching model.The introduction of Internet technology into college English teaching has posed a great challenge to the traditional teacher- centered method.Based on the theories of student-centeredness and constructivism,the paper compares the traditional teaching model with the web-based autonomous learning model.With data collected from term examinations,it also discusses some advantages on the implementation of the new teaching model.
