"Two Scholars with the Same Family Name Chen in Historiography" and Their Academic Spirit

Chen Yuan and Chen Yinque are called Chen in Historiography.This calling was born in the 1950s,and the Phenomenon of Two Chenwas produced in 1920s-1930s.They both payed attention to Bibliography Chronology,and they are good at treating history using philology,and had achievements in The History of Religions,The Mongolian-yuan Dynasty's history,The History of Ming and Qing Dynasties.They had much common in the study of history,exchanging ideas and academic ideology,mattering to each other.Though they had different ideas of Political thoughts in their late years,in the truthfulness to the academic pursuit practical and realistic goals are together,all roads lead to Rome.Two Chen in Historiographyis one of the most attractive phenomenons in the twentieth century in Chinese intellectual history.We should use the academic perspective to interpretate this phenomenon.
