Abstract
As a famous historian in modern times, Chen Yinque devoted himself to the study of history and made remarkable achievements. He developed many-faced research fields and put forword many significant views on history of China .The independent spirits of cademic research and the way ofjustify history with poem which he advocated and practised were particularly admired and inherited by latter scholars.
