Abstract
The mechanism of gas curtain in tundish was introduced.The effect of the gas curtain on the flow fields of molten steel in the tundish and the inclusion movement was analyzed.The gas flow rate and gas blowing position can affect the metallurgy effect of the gas curtain remarkably.The flow fields of molten steel in the tundish can be reformed effectly by the gas curtain which is logical designed,and the residence time of molten steel in tundish increase.They are favourable for the removal of the inclusions in the steel.The removal rate of the 50μm inclusions increase remarkably by the sorption of the weeny air bladder.
