Abstract

Through the experiment of water simulation, the influence of gas curtain position, flow and double porous plugs on tundish flow field were studied. It shows that adopting the gas curtain can lengthen the average residence time of molten steel in tundish, reduce dead volume and enhance mixture degrees of liquid steel. The feasible suggestion of industry experiment is proposed.
