Abstract
According to the structure and the operating parameters of the tundish at No3 Steel-making Plant of WISCO the effect of the gas curtain technology on the flow of the liquid steel and removal rate of inclusions in the tundish was mathematically and physically simulated and thereupon industrial scale experiments carried out.Experimental results show that the flowing conditions of the liquid steel can be effectively improved,the average duration of the liquid steel in the tundish prolonged,the volume of the dead zone reduced and the removal rate of the inclusions raised by application of the the gas curtain technology.It is more suitable for the tundish in refining the super clean steel.
