Reviews and Prospects of Land use Planning in Recent 50 Years in China

As one subject, land planning is introduced to our country in 1954, and in 1956, course is opened in Northeastern Agricultural College, and after this some universities followed. Before reform and opening-up, land use planning is engineering science, which focus on survey, design and implement agricultural land. After reform and opening-up, it is renamed as the land is planned as a economic management, land use planning content expanded , and developed with information-based and modeling. The land use planning has a great deal of problems in practice, such as basic theory is still not perfect, planning goal, system, method lack scientifically, standardization and legalization, also it has lower personnel's quality, and backward in technique, etc. In future, of sustainable development land use will become generally knows together, land use should perfect system construction progressively , set up implementation security system of land use planning, improve scientific and standardized level.
