Review and Outlook of Land Planning Administration in China

The purpose of this paper is to probe into the orientation as well as,the role and the detailed making method of land use planning in current new stage by reviewing and comparing the development of land use planning during previous periods.Comprehensive and comparative analyses were employed.The results show that the development process of land use planning in China was closely related to the economic systems in different periods.Nowadays,there are chances and challenges in facing land use planning.Currently land use planning not only undertakes the function of balancing the demands for land among different sectors,but also plays a role in macro economic control.It is concluded that land use planning will be oriented to enhanced legal status,scientized system,modernized making method,open process of making an implementation as well as legalized planning administration in the future.
