Abstract

Objective To summerize the technique for orthotopic liver transplantation in rats and improve the stability of the model. Methods Orthotopic liver transplantation were performed on 90 rats with some modified techniques. The effects of operation technique on postoperative complication, survival rate were analyzed.Result The operation time of the donor was 25 minutes and that of recipient was 40 minutes. The time of cuff preparation was 10 minute, and the grafts were stored in 4℃ lactate ringers solution for 6 hours. The 48 hour and 1 week survival rates were 94.4% and 90.3% respectively. Conclusion The stability and survival rate can be enhanced successfully with effective modification on current rat orthotopic liver transplantation.
