Abstract
Objective To increase the stability of rat orthotopic liver transplantation models effectively by improving the surgical procedures. Methods 150 cases of rat orthotopic liver transplantation were performed with the modified two-cuffed technique, and the effects of various perioperative treatment factors and surgical techniques on the survival rate and viability were observed. Results The 24 hours and 2 week survival rates were 97% and 90% respectively. Conclusion The modified two-cuffed methods is convenient and easy to repeat. It can enhance the stability and increase survival rate of rat orthotopic liver transplantation models.
