Abstract
Objective To investigate the concentration of D-dimer(D-D), tissue-type plasminogen activator (t-PA) and plasminogen (PLG) activity in plasma and cerebrospinal fluid in patients with late cerebral infarction after acute brain injury and to probe their clinical significance. Methods The concentration of D-dimer and t-PA in plasma and cerebrospinal fluid in patients with late cerebral infarction after acute brain injury were examined by enzyme linked-immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and the measurement for PLG biological activity was performed by the chromophore method. All these results were compared with those of patients in control group. Results The concentrations of D-dimer and t-PA in patients with late cerebral infarction after acute brain injury were much higher than those in patients without cerebral infarction (P0.01), while the PLG activity was significantly lower in the former (P0.01).Conclusion Hypercoagulability and secondary hyperfibrinolysis exist in patients with late cerebral infarction after acute brain injury . And these hematological markers have clinica1 significance.
