Clinical evaluating the effection of applying sublingual misoprostol in cervical dilatation for induced abortion

Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of applying sublingual misoprostol in cervical dilatation for induced abortion.Methods the women with early pregnancy who required termination of pregnancy by painless artificial abortion were randomly divided into observation group and control group.The observation group received 0.4mg misoprostol sublingually three hours before operation;the control group administered by routine preoperatire preparation.the cervical relaxation size,amount of blood loss,operation time,and the cessation time of vaginal bleeding were observed.Results Compared with the control group the cervical relaxation size and amount of blood loss was statistically significant difference(P0.01);however,the operation time and postoperative bleeding time was no significant difference.Conclusion The sublingual administration misoprostol is simple,safe and effective,so it can be used routine medication before operation of induced abortion.
