On Activating the Higher Vocational College Students' Motivation in Learning English after Registration Enrollment

Students enrolled into higher vocational colleges without necessarily achieving any required entrance examination scores are found to be seriously loss of motivation in college English learning,whose underlying causes are shown various through investigation. How to light up the students' learning enthusiasm is a challenge for college English teaching reform. Based on the relative theory about learning motivation and combined with the new situation,this paper makes some tentative reformations for college English classroom teaching in higher vocational colleges and comes up with some corresponding measures. It concludes from a new investigation that these reforms have positive and constructive effects on activating students' learning motivation.
